More Fun Stuff from Faron Betchley

Okay, here is round two of new greens from Faron.  One of the projects we will be working on is some various barbarian riders who will all fit on a variety of mounts.  The first two sets of mounts are done--bears and ostriches.

First, the bears

Next, the ostriches

Finally, here is a picture of the two with Pict riders on them.  The bear mount will compress a little at molding, so the figure should fit on there very nicely.  I am planning to do some pygmy types to go with the ostriches, though any of the various riders we do will work.

I think this will be a really fun project and will provide 15mm gamers with a lot of fun options for interesting and unique armies.

The Ostrich would be great for recreating the 80's video game "Joust"!

I love these figs. Even without riders they will all a wider variety of 15mm wildlife.

You mention barbarians. I'd love to see some fantasy arbarians horsemen that draw from the wild Cossacks. Scalplots, curved swords, etc.

Yes, in the USA we tend to overlook the Cossacks, and I agree they would be great to do and have.

That is exactly what I thought for them. Now we need that damned bird and I'm running it for Origins 2011 (in theory)!
